We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Team Lead to manage a team of Bookkeeping Associates and serve as the main point of contact for UK clients. You will oversee daily bookkeeping operations, review work for accuracy, and ensure client requirements are met on time.
This is a supervisory and client-facing role. You will work closely with both the bookkeeping team and UK accountants/finance managers, making sure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.
The Accounts Team Lead is expected to combine strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational and communication skills.
Supervise and manage a team of Bookkeeping Associates (around 6-8 per lead).
Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met.
Review bookkeeping entries, reconciliations, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
Liaise directly with UK clients to gather requirements, provide updates, and resolve queries.
Provide clear instructions and training to team members on processes and client-specific requirements.
Prepare and finalise financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for submission to clients.
Ensure irregularities or issues flagged by Bookkeeping Associates are addressed promptly.
Support VAT preparation and compliance requirements (training provided).
Lead occasional team/client meetings online to coordinate tasks and expectations.
Uphold company standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably with international clients.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Xero.
Excellent knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead role is highly preferred.
Good understanding of accounting processes such as reconciliations, reporting, and VAT (UK knowledge a plus).
Strong English communication skills (both written and spoken).
Ability to lead, mentor, and support a team effectively.
Comfortable working UK hours from the Philippines.

We are looking for highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeping Associates to join our growing international team. You will support UK clients with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, and Google Sheets.
You will report to an Accounts Team Lead who will provide instructions, review your work, and liaise with clients. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with numbers, spotting inconsistencies, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date.
This is more than simple data entry, we are looking for people who can think critically, spot irregularities and deliver accurate work consistently.
Enter financial transactions into QuickBooks and Xero accurately.
Perform bank, credit card, and supplier reconciliations.
Upload and match invoices/receipts using software tools (e.g. Dext/Hubdoc).
Maintain spreadsheets in Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, lookups, pivot tables an advantage).
Assist in preparing draft financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) for Team Lead review.
Check and flag duplicate entries, errors, or unusual items to the Team Lead.
Support preparation of VAT reports and other client requirements (training provided).
Follow established processes and tasks assigned by the Team Lead.
Occasionally attend online meetings for updates and coordination.
At least 1–2 years of bookkeeping experience (experience with Western clients preferred).
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Xero.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Bookkeeping or accounting qualification/degree is a plus but not required.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good English reading and writing skills (verbal English helpful but not essential).
Willing to work UK shift hours from the Philippines.
